This year I am starting a new series, Farmer Talk, in which I’ll be having open conversations with farmers across Europe, and possibly further afield also.

Today we kick of with Christian Dahlqvist here in Sweden. Christian and his wife Johanna run Sundhult, and were super-inspired after taking an early version of my online training. They run a cooperative Highland cattle herd, pastured poultry and use their formal engineering training to empower their work and community.

You can check Sundhult out on Facebook, Instagram and Youtube.

If you have suggestions of farmers I should speak to, wherever they are, don’t be shy to let me know in the comments; you can include a link to their social media, too!

What’s your biggest insight from this conversation?

Join the conversation in the comments below. Thousands of people come here to learn, so please share if you have  knowledge or experience that might benefit others.

Important: Share your thoughts and ideas directly in the comments. Links to other posts, videos, etc. will be removed.

Great interview.I think the cooperative herd idea is really interesting. how hemanages the day to day management was notreally discussed, who does the accounts? who works in the shop? how is it all organised? Thanks for the chance to hear this. keep up the interviews.

Good morning Richard, Very interesting interview. May I suggest that when interviewing your personalities on farms that they walk around their properties whilst explaining at site, so , have a clearer picture of the actual object on its mechanics. By explaining doesn’t give the clarity intended.
