A FARM AT THE SEA ON THE SWEDISH WEST COAST

2 comments

I’ve just bought a farm on the beach. I’ve always dreamt of living by the sea, I’d much rather have my money invested in property and possibilities than sitting in the bank, and I can have my sailing boat moored here whilst I work toward realising my dream of circumnavigating the world. The farm is also close to a tourism hotspot, so there’s a market for local produce.

You can find our mini series on profitable regenerative farming here (available for a limited time).

    There are so many sailing vlogs on YouTube;
    I was entranced by “Sailing Magic Carpet”, then later found “Sailing Uma” – both by lovely young couples, I’m so envious!
    Also found “Sailing Zatara”, very different; a well resourced US family, most entertaining.
    All worth a look if you have such a dream.

    Scott Pape is an Australian accountant and is dedicating his life to teach people about money and how to set yourself up for the future and your kids for the future (a bit like you with farming!). http://www.barefootinvestor.com.au He’s got two books The Barefoot Investor and The Barefoot Investor for Families. A lot of the information is on Australia, but the principles still apply world wide and they are updated every year. In terms of saving for retirement and saving in general for the future, he is all about low cost set and forget balanced indexed investment funds. You only put money here that you won’t need for another 10 years or so and make sure you have some available money if something happens in the next 5 years so you can ride out a stock market crash. He’s really good at explaining boring accounting things in a very entertaining and understandable way and actually make you excited about accounting! Highly recommend looking into his stuff!
    Good luck with the new farm, looks amazing!
