1000 new broiler chicks have arrived, the sheep have been sheared, the water pump has been fixed, and the other egg-mobile now also features the original nest boxes again. The voles are still trashing the place, including eating our kale and making holes all over our pasture, and either they or mice have ringbarked our orchard trees.
What vole strategies are you using?

Hello,
Oddly, it’s a comfort to hear about your vole problem. I’ve had increasing pressure here in my 1/2 acre market garden each year since planting in 2015. I bought a rodent blaster, though an off-brand, which may be why I can’t get it to reliably blast! While using most other methods also; traps, castor oil, high frequency sound, I’m still failing to control them.
My fields look like yours, and it’s hard to conceive of the massive underground tunnel system. Magnificent and frustrating alike. I worry that beyond normal population cycles, climate change might be a factor?
