Here’s part 1 of making the Ridgedale mini egg-mobile. For this year’s homesteading purposes, a capacity of 25 birds is enough. I’m building it back-of-a-napkin style, and it’s so fun to be building something again after about a year’s break.
Could you use a mini egg-mobile?

Best,

I really liked the small scale egg mobile. It’d be great for our home scale here too. I’d love to hear the rough dimensions, who knows, we might give it a crack and make one of our own.
Well done!
Thank you, that was a joy. If the tires don’t hold the weight you may want to try the Marathon flat free tires from Northern Tool (plastic spoke rim — 3/4in. Bore, 26 x 2.125in). (That’s from the Justin Rhodes chicksaw. They work great.)
So super useful. Had the downscale version in mind ever since I saw your original egg-mobile to start up homesteading. Would however recommend to connect the wheel structure with two flat irons to prevent the wheels leaning in on the weight, especially when you install your solar panel and battery pack. While you at it, you might consider a pivoting wheelbarrow wheel at the front to help you carry the load.
Eagerly waiting for you to release “part 2” as this one I will surely build once the rainy season is over !!
Yes – eagerly awaiting part 2!
